We’re excited to announce that The Grandiose Tales of Cpt. Stuffy is nearly complete, and Cpt. Stuffy and Puddles D. Duck are officially setting sail for a standalone release next year - 2025! You'll be able to grab the full 30+ page comic as a digital download, or, perhaps become one of a few limited physical print recipients!
The Grandiose Tales of Cpt. Stuffy tells a small but charming tale of siblings Charlie and Eloise Dior as they embark on imagined adventures with their new Stuffy plushies. Throughout the 30+ beautifully illustrated pages, you may spot clever nods to our plans for the Restitched game—like the "Stitch & Stuffy" store and character cameos... but the comic's appeal stands on its own!
Many of our trixel+ subscribers are already familiar with Cpt. Stuffy as a small monthly benefit. It originally began as a fun story rooted in the fictional universe of our upcoming game Restitched. For us, it was always a side passion project from a few team members — artists, writers, and designers... However, it has since taken on its own identity with unique lore and characters. It's certainly become more important and ambitious to us than just a Patreon perk!
As we nearly finished Issue # 1 last year, it became clear that readers would benefit more from a full story arc rather than scattered pages and issues on trixel+. So, we’ve stepped away from the episodic format and expanded the scope to ensure it stands out as a more complete and approachable project of its own. This effort included rethinking the original direction of the story, tying it in more with Restitched and the Stuffy we all know, and giving it a few updated graphics!
We understand many of you are awaiting Restitched and might not be ready (or interested) to dive into extra or spin-off content of any kind. That’s why we’ve worked hard to make it a unique experience.
Whether you’re a fan of Restitched or just looking for a cute and lighthearted read, it's something for anyone who enjoys comics or visual stories! We hope that you'll come to adore these characters as much as we have while creating them...
We'll share more details on its full release in the future! Until then, trixel+ subscribers will continue to receive new pages as soon as they're available. The full release of the comic will also feature unique artwork, updated panels, inconsistency fixes, and more that are not currently available through Patreon.
